The story here
Coffee reached Kenya in the early 1900s with British colonial settlers, planted first near Nairobi and later across the fertile highlands of Nyeri and Kirinyaga. What set it apart was the auction system and rigorous grading built around it — bold, blackcurrant-bright cups still among the most prized in the specialty world.
